Bartlettyarns 2 Ply Yarns
Grown Local-American Made-Worn Around The World-
Since 1821, our mule spun woolen yarns are carefully created to produce several yarn and roving color ways with deep inspiration. The Bartlettyarns spinning mule is the last operating mule in the USA. It replicates the motion of a hand spinner providing a softer twist and airy loftiness in the yarns.
We are known for our heathery colors. They include Fisherman, our specialty since the 1800’s; Rangeley which are inspired by the lakes, forests and mountains of Maine; Shetlands with marvelous combination of natural and dyed wool colors to Glen Tweeds with warm tones and textures of authentic Scottish checks and tweeds; to Solids which are spun first and then skein dyed using only selected domestic wools. This website contains only certain 2 ply yarns. If you would like to purchase our other colors or weights such as 3 ply, bulky and sport, please www.bartlettyarns.com. Thank you.
